Britney Spears wears dress from wedding to Kevin Federline

BRITNEY Spears' latest fashion faux pas was spotted by paparazzi who caught her wearing her old wedding dress while out with her new boyfriend Adnan Ghalib.Reports in British newspapers report today that Spears' new man has shacked up with the fallen pop princess and concocted a plan to marry the star in an attempt to secure her fortune and lucrative exclusive picture deals. Spears is reportedly convinced a new marriage will help her win back her children who are in the custody of her ex Kevin Federline. The fallen star was snapped while wearing the tiny, white lace wedding dress she wore for her second wedding with K-Fed.
Britney gave the dress its first outing at her wedding reception with father of her two sons. After a whirlwind two-week romance with Ghalib, the pop star has apparently told friends she wants to marry the photographer and convert to Islam. The two recently feld LA for a romantic getaway after she had a flat tyre on Sunset Boulevard. Spears, 26, has been in hiding in Los Angeles with Ghalib since her public meltdown last week which saw her lose custody of her two sons to Federline. Her latest public appearance also comes after Spears' family criticised TV host Dr Phil McGraw for speaknig to the media about her fragile mental condition. It was claimed that during a phone call to a relative, the photographer said he had deep feelings for the star, insisting they had discussed marriage. Britney also apparently chipped during the phone call and said: "We're taking care of each other. He's the only one who understands me. It's serious." The mixed-up pop princess then extended an invitation to her lover's family to visit them in the US when she has got over her problems. The biggest of which is probably tomorrow's custody hearing which will decide whether she will be able to see children Sean Preston, two, and one-year-old Jayden James. Reports in the Daily Mail and TMZ.com state the court hearing Last night a source close to Britney said: "Monday's court hearing is D-Day for her and the kids." "While she's been swanning around with Adnan, Kevin's been preparing for the court showdown to end them all. "He has no confidence in her ability to look after either herself or the children." However, a source close to Birmingham-born photographer painted a different picture and revealed how Ghalib has boasted to friends about their wild relationship and drug-fuelled romps. "He said he'd 'struck gold' in all ways and was going to keep hold of her for as long as he could." One of his relatives has also stepped in and commented on the relationship. "All he wanted to do was get close enough for some special pictures. "But now he daren't lift a camera when he's with heror she'll rumble him and kick him out. "So instead he's cleverly changed tack, says he's planning a long-term relationship with Britney and that they have discussed marriage. "He is still wed so he knows he can't do anything until there's a divorce from his wife. He's probably working on that already." A close friend of Spears has also revealed how fragile the star is at the moment. "She's been discussing all these wacky plans to reinvent her life and convince the courts she is a good mother. "She has discussed in depth a fake death, moving abroad and even plastic surgery. "It is scary to hear her romanticise about these insane plans. "She believes she could spend six months away and make a comeback as Britney the world's best mother." It has been claimed that Ghalib is planning to make a fortune out his relationship with Britney and that he has been plotting to steal the singer's heart since 2006. A woman who Ghalib tried to pursue in the past, Jennifer Dwyer has come out and publicly warned Spears to stay away from the paparazzo, saying: "It is no exaggeration to say he is the most dangerous, evil man I have ever met. He makes women fall in love with him and when they are no longer any use to him he tosses them aside." Dwyer fell for Ghalib when he approached her in her home town New Orleans in November 2006. Things came to an end when she realised just how obesessed Ghalib had become with Spears when she went to see him in LA "I flew all that way to visit but did not see him once in two weeks. He said he was working too hard following Britney and that she was the person who was going to make him millions so had to come before me. "He kept saying, 'Oh my God she is so hot, she has an amazing a*** and she is going to make me rich. I wanted to die. I couldn't believe the man I'd fallen for could be so cruel. "I could just about stomach the fact he had a wife, but when there became four of us in our relationship I had to dump him." Dwyer warned: "Britney is welcome to him. If I could say one thing to her it would be, 'Get out now.'" Adnan, 35, grew up in Small Heath, Birmingham, where his mum Saghar and dad Hussain are strict Muslims who attend their local mosque daily. Now family friends of Adnan reckon his family would only accept Britney if she changed religion. A friend said: "Adnan's mother and father are very religious and go to the mosque every day. "They are strict when it comes to their religion and would never accept a non-Muslim into the family, let alone a white girl. "If Britney and Adnan were serious about each other, then she would have to change her religion, and even then they may have difficulty accepting her. "Some Muslims do not insist on conversion, but I know Adnan's family well and they would want Britney to change." He added: "The Ghalibs are very good people and well respected in the area. I don't think they would be very happy about this relationship. "They lead a very quiet and respectable lifestyle. They have two daughters in this country and they have both had arranged marriages to fellow Muslims." Reports on Friday suggested that the pop star may even be looking to move to Birmingham with her boyfriend to escape the "madness" in Los Angeles. It is not known if Adnan has another home in Birmingham, or if the celebrity couple would live with his parents. Mr and Mrs Ghalib are believed to have fled to a secret address in London to escape the media frenzy after news of the relationship first broke. "Britney is on the edge and it's ironic that the only person she feels she can turn to is a paparazzo," one US source said. "It's like the lamb going to stay with the wolf pack." Meanwhile in other breaking news, Amy Winehouse has been spotted getting cosy with her record producer Mark Ronson. The other troubled music star who recently dye her hair blonde was seen leaving her flat late at night and then spent part of the evening in the studio before finally arriving at a hotel at 5.30am where they continued to party. Ronson collaborated with Winehouse, 24, on the single Valerie and has been credited for some of the success of her album Back to Black.

Britney Spears taken from her home in ambulance after 3-hour standoff

LOS ANGELES - A bizarre new chapter is unfolding in the life of Britney Spears, with the troubled pop star hospitalized today "for her own welfare" after a three-hour standoff involving her two young sons.
With paparazzi swarming the ambulance doors, Spears was whisked away late Thursday, nearly three hours after police arrived at her home in a gated community. No injuries were reported.
Police initially said it appeared the 26-year-old Spears was under the influence of an unknown substance but Officer April Harding said today she could not confirm that or other reports that Spears was hospitalized for mental evaluation.

"For her own welfare, she was transferred to a local hospital for medical treatment," Harding said, declining to elaborate.
Spears was conscious as the ambulance left her home escorted by a row of police cars. A horde of paparazzi chased the ambulance, their strobes going off as they held their cameras up to the vehicle’s rear window.
Another group of videographers met the ambulance at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, banging on the ambulance doors.
Cedars spokeswoman Simi Singer said she could neither confirm nor deny that Spears was at the hospital, citing patient confidentiality laws.
Officers were called to Spears’ house around 8 p.m. Thursday for an issue involving custody of 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James, Harding said.
By about 10:30 p.m., six police cars, two ambulances and a fire truck had entered the gated-community, where Spears has a $4.5 million, five-bedroom, six-bathroom home in the Santa Monica Mountains above Beverly Hills.
Several police cars were seen in the area earlier in the night.
Spears turned over the children around 10:50 p.m., Officer Jason Lee said.
Spears and ex-husband Kevin Federline have been involved in a long and very public custody battle. Federline, 29, has temporary custody of the children because Spears, who has limited visitation rights, has defied court orders. The two were married in October 2004 and divorced in July.
Attorneys for Spears and Federline were in court today to discuss child custody arrangements.
Tara Scott, representing Spears, and Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, spent about 30 minutes in chambers with Los Angeles County Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon, who has been handling the custody case. They made no comments to reporters.
Spears’ life has spiraled downward during the past year. She has been photographed without underwear and appeared to be drunk and out-of-control in public. She shaved her head, beat a car with an umbrella and spent a month in rehab, and has had a handful of fender benders, including one in which she ran over a photographer’s foot.
Earlier Thursday, Spears appeared for a deposition in her custody dispute. Spears was questioned for just 14 minutes, Kaplan told reporters after Spears left.
Spears called in sick for a Dec. 12 court-ordered deposition, but was photographed that day driving with a friend. She also didn’t show up for a session Wednesday, Kaplan said.
Spears’ attorneys from the firm Trope and Trope on Wednesday filed a court motion asking to be relieved due to a "breakdown" in communication with their client.
Kaplan said Spears’ attorneys were present for what became a very abbreviated session, which had been scheduled to last two hours.

"You can imagine in 14 minutes there’s not a lot of time to develop questions," he said.
Kaplan said another deposition would be scheduled.

Court gives sole custody of Spears’ sons to Kevin Federline

LOS ANGELES - A court commissioner gave sole physical and legal custody of Britney Spears’ two little boys Friday to ex-husband Kevin Federline and suspended the troubled pop star’s visitation rights.
Spears was hauled away from her home to a hospital by paramedics a day before, after police had to intervene when she refused to return the children to Federline after a court-monitored visit.
Commissioner Scott Gordon ordered another hearing to be held Jan. 14.
Federline had previously been awarded temporary custody of 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James because Spears has defied court orders, resulting in limitations on her visitation.
"I’m not happy about any of these events," Federline attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan said when he left a closed-door emergency hearing Friday afternoon. "There’s no winners here."
Federline was not in court for the hearing, Kaplan said.
The attorney had said he did not expect the ruling to be released until Monday, but it was issued shortly after the hearing concluded.
Law professor Steve Cron, who is not involved in the Spears-Federline matter, predicted that Spears will face sanctions from the court for her behavior.
"My guess is that she won’t be seeing her kids for a while," said Cron, who teaches at Pepperdine University in Malibu.
Gordon has little option other than to further reduce the time Spears can legally spend with her children, Cron said, "at least for the time being until she gets some help. She’s obviously a very troubled person."
The 26-year-old pop star remained hospitalized Friday.
Her latest troubles began around 8 p.m. Thursday when officers were called to her home to help resolve a dispute over her refusal to turn the children over to Federline, as dictated by their custody agreement.
It took two to three hours to resolve the conflict, said Officer Ana Aguirre.
"There was a time where she was within the residence and wasn’t available to be speaking to the officers, apparently," she said. "There was no threat to the children."
"Police resolved the conflict," Aguirre said. "Both children were turned over to her ex-husband Kevin Federline for custody, and she was in fact taken to a local hospital for medical treatment."
Early police reports said officers thought Spears might have been under the influence of some substance, but Aguirre said there was no evidence of that.
"Our understanding is that was not the case," she said.
Officers at the scene determined that paramedics "needed to be called" but it was unclear why, she said.
"We’re not aware of any type of injuries that she sustained" and she was not combative with authorities, Aguirre said.
Spears wasn’t arrested in connection with the custody dispute, Aguirre said.
"There was no actual crime that was involved," the police spokeswoman said.
Spears and Federline were married in October 2004. Her life has spiraled downward since their divorce in July. She has been photographed without underwear and appeared to be drunk and out of control in public. She shaved her head, beat a car with an umbrella and spent a month in rehab.
She had hoped to regain her pop crown with a much-hyped performance at MTV’s Video Music Awards in September, but it was universally panned by fans and critics.
Still, Spears’ latest album, "Blackout," earned positive reviews when it was released in October and brought Spears her first No. 1 hit in years, "Gimme More."
However, Spears remains a paparazzi target for her bizarre antics, which include frequent stops at gas-station bathrooms and holing up in a hotel room with a paparazzo.
Her 16-year-old sister, Jamie Lynn, made headlines last month when she announced that she is pregnant.

Britney checks out ... with Dr. Phil

Britney Spears was released - probably against doctors’ advice - from Cedars-Sinai Hospital in La-La Land yesterday with TV host Dr. Phil at her side, according to several gossip Web sites.
The trainwrecktastic pop star was admitted to the hospital for psychological evaluation after a standoff with police at her Beverly Hills home. She reportedly locked herself and young son Jayden James, 15 months, in a bathroom. Spears was placed on a “5150 hold,” meaning medical workers determined she presented a threat to herself or others. The order allowed the hospital to keep her against her will for up to 72 hours.
“Entertainment Tonight” reported that Spears escaped the paparazzi by exiting the hospital through an underground tunnel with Dr. Phil.
Perezhilton.com quoted a hospital source saying that Spears was medicated at the hospital. The source said hospital personnel could not hold her once she ceased to be a risk. She likely left against medical advice, the site said.
According to celebrity gossip site TMZ, Spears most likely suffers from bipolar disorder and was probably not under the influence, as was suspected at the time of Thursday night’s incident.
The most recent chapter in Spears’ saga began around 8:30 Thursday night when she refused to hand over sons Jayden James and Sean Preston, 2, after a visit. Paramedics rolled the hysterical Spears out of her home on a gurney.
A source told Usmagazine.com that Brit had to be strapped to the gurney and that she fluctuated between laughter and hysterics, leading police to believe she was under the influence of an unknown substance.
Spears’ ex-hubby Kevin Federline has been granted sole physical and legal custody of the boys.
